Reset Scavenger Hunt Campaign
For our final capstone project for our program, we worked with the non-profit organization, Reset with a community space called the Living Room in Little Jamaica, Toronto. To help Reset promote the Living Room in the community and gain more members using the space, our team created a turnkey campaign involving a scavenger hunt which aligns with Reset’s value of putting play first and building connections. I was tasked to make promotional posters for the Reset Scavenger Hunt and created a bus shelter poster and three flyers promoting the Scavenger Hunt.
Scavenger Hunt Bus Shelter Poster
For the bus shelter poster, we planned to place it at the bus shelter near the intersection of Oakwood Avenue and Vaughan Road, close to the Reset Living Room. I used the hook, “Next Stop: Little Jamaica’s Treasure,” to make the promotion personal to the audience. It highlights taking transit and the community of Little Jamaica while also creating interest in what is next, encouraging people to read more through the poster. The hook is accompanied by elements that mimic the look of public transportation directions found on map applications like Google Maps or Apple Maps. These directions guide the viewer to the location of the Reset Living Room from the bus stop. I also incorporated Scavenger Hunt elements, such as dotted lines, to emphasize the campaign’s essence.

Scavenger Hunt Flyers
These promotional flyers will be displayed in local schools and community boards to promote the campaign. The flyers will have three distinct versions, each highlighting a different aspect of the Reset Scavenger Hunt. The first version will showcase the Scavenger Hunt experience, the second will promote the strengthening of community bonds and the third will highlight the event’s inclusivity. The flyers will be presented in sets of three, with the first poster serving as a guide, leading viewers to the next poster through the dotted lines. Each poster in the set will feature different versions of the flyer, ensuring that the community understands the key aspects of the Scavenger Hunt. To align with Reset’s brand identity, I incorporated Scavenger Hunt elements such as dotted lines and the location symbol into the visuals.

Scavenger Hunt Winner Certificates
After the Scavenger Hunt, our team had planned to present certificates to the participants who had completed it the fastest. These certificates would be awarded to the first, second, and third-place finishers of the Scavenger Hunt. I designed the certificates, incorporating Reset’s brand colours and elements from the scavenger hunt, such as dotted lines, to create a visually appealing design that effectively represented the event’s essence.
